LA VOCE del VENTO (The Voice of the Wind) CHAMBER PLAYERS, was
started over 33 years ago by Bassoonist Ann Hubbard. It is intended to
fill a gap in classical performance: namely, to use Woodwinds in chamber music so their voices can be heard and appreciated. Our First performance occurred in San Francisco at the Old First Church on April 5, 1981. Critic Paul Hertelendy wrote: "An intellegent and well-prepared program ... It was heartening to hear a group of professional free-lancers come up with such a high-quality operation as their La Voce Del Vento ensemble."
